Joen Iannucci, Laura Jansen Howerton
Joen Iannucci, DDS, MS
Dr. Joen Iannucci is the Chair of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and a Professor of Clinical Dentistry at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. An Ohio State alumna, she earned her DDS, her MS, and a certificate in dental radiology from the college before joining its faculty in 1987. A highly decorated educator, Dr. Iannucci has received 51 teaching awards and is the recipient of Ohio State’s Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching. She is the author of two foundational textbooks, Dental Radiography: Principles and Techniques and Radiographic Interpretation for the Dental Hygienist.
Laura Jansen Howerton, RDH, MS
Laura Jansen Howerton is an instructor at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina. She has previously served on the dental hygiene faculty at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2015, she was named one of the Top 25 Women in Dentistry. She is the co-author of two dental hygiene textbooks.
